I have longed for this console for quite some time now. I was originally going to wait until MGS4 comes out then I figured what the hell. It was quite hard with all the negativity surrounding the console in the beginning, especially with companies like EA putting in shit effort and producing bad quality games compared to the 360 at times I even thought of purchasing a 360. Then better games starting coming out.
So there was a sale on at Wal-Mart. Boxing Day BlowOut. PS3 On sale for $550.00. 80 gig, PS3 with Motorstorm and Free Bluetooth remote control. (This was before the price drop)

Now that I have my PS3, I Love it, I picked up Resistance at a sale at Wal-Mart for 40.00 and it was a fast paced and really fun shooter. Initially I found the controller a bit hard to use when shooting so I picked up this kick as FragFX. Which makes my PS3 games as good as PC, well my pc sucks anyways but now i get the superior control and precision of a mouse.

My Suggestions for games that I have played :

Heavenly Sword (Once I Open the package and play it
Waiting for my Dual Shock 3)
I have more games just not enough time to review them all, I will put up my own reviews of them all soon.

the new 80 Gig is only $499.00. I live in PA. so maybe pricing is different here?
I have one on order for June 12th. I already own four games. Just waiting to play them.
Ratchet and Clank Future
Call of Duty 4
Heavenly Sword
Lost Planet
I’ll have to try MGS4. I never really got into the previous games. Hope this one rocks. I’m mostly into First/third person shooters. A few racers now and then. the Need For Speed series is good. NFS MOST WANTED was the best but not available on PS3. Call of Duty 3 is worth playing but nothing comes close to COD4.
Games I’m waiting for are:
Resident Evil 5
KILL ZONE 2
Resistance 2
Call of Duty 5

I own all those games, except Lost Planet, I played the demo and didn’t like it at all. But the other games are really fun, make sure you get into the COD4 Multiplayer, nowadays i’m busy playing GTA IV or Rockband but i might hit up some COD4, its really addictive online multiplayer.
You can add me and we can play once you get your ps3, my tag is Rizzyc
Enjoy your PS3

Sounds like a plan. I’m still trying to think up a good name for the PS3.
June 12th I’ll be setting it up. I’ll add you then.
I purposely buy games late to save money. I’ll get into GTA4 by the New year.

What is the best way of killing the Chainsaw guys in RE4 ? I shoot’em in the head like 10 times. Seams to take for ever. I only bought the game a few weeks ago. I just rescued the daughter from the church. I have a long way to go I think. Fun game so far. I wish this would be on the PS3. The graphics would be more like RESIDENT EVIL 5 that will be out later on this Fall.
I’m not a Wii fan and I’m waiting for the XBOX to have a system that supports Blu Ray. Thats one factor why I went with the PS3. I like the XBOX 360 controller better, at least PS3 has rumble again . . .

Acutally, many games have an initial promo price of like 10 dollars off so they sell good in the first week or so, or atleast i noticed that in futureshop/best buy, unless its a SUPER HYPED game and they know it will sell no matter what, but i got gta4 for 50 using dell days of deal
Heavenly Sword was fun and has some decent replay value, well I played it with dual shock 3 (imported from Japan) and it was AWESOME.
RE4 was wicked cuz of the customizable weapons and the fast paced action, one of the best RE games ever, but not so scary as the previous ones, I cant wait till RE5, I cant remember much about RE4 now though lol, but i think i finished twice, awesome graphics still
Not a big XBOX fan, and i’m fearful that 9 gigs wont cut it for most games in the future, i feel its all old tech and not to mention the red ring of death. I bought Planet Earth, waiting until i get my NEW HDTV Sharp Aquos to play it
Wii is fun for friends & family only, i havent touched that in a while until my lil neices and nephews came over yesterday.

the new PS3 only comes with 2 USB ports, no longer has the multi-card reader, last but no least… no longer supports Playstation 1 and Playstation 2 games. .. but the controller vibrates now.. and… uses the battery up faster (?)
glad i got mine a while ago

It probably is a good thing we got ours a long time ago, but I can understand why Sony needs to cut costs on console esp. when MS keeps reducing their prices. But personally I have not played a single PS2 game on my PS3 yet, I’m more interested in the new gen stuff. I just got resistance 2 but want to finish Far Cry 2 before I start it.
PS1 games.. very few people will care about those now, and i have both the dual shock 3 and the six axis, the DS3 is way better in terms of weight, feel, and experience and I think i still get some pretty decent life out of it esp. since the new f/w auto shuts them off after 5-6 mins of no use.
I use my PS3 as a media hub streaming all the HD movies from my pc. The new version still does all that so you are still getting a good product anyways!
